Why The Basic Check-Up is important and A Tailor Made Check-Up.
Regular health exams and tests such as the Basic Check-Up,can help find problems before they start. They also can help find problems early, when your chances for treatment and cure are better. By getting the right health services, screenings, and treatments, you are taking steps that help your chances for living a longer, healthier life. Your age, health and family history, lifestyle choices (i.e. what you eat, how active you are, whether you smoke), and other important factors impact what and how often you need healthcare.
With the Basic Check‐Up, you’ll get a good look at your overall health through a variety of tests including:
- Complete blood count (FBC)
- Cholesterol (Total, Bad, Good)
- Cardiovascular Risk
- Transaminases GPT-GOT (liver control)
- Urea – Creatinine (kidney test)
The Basic Check-Up will determine in large part the care offered to the patient (diet, physical activity, medication, etc.). Should previously diagnosed problems be found, additional exams and therapies may be immediately undertaken.
All results are available in less than 48 hours, and the Lab personnel then discusses the results with the patient. Practical advice can be given to help the patient modify his or her lifestyle and maintain these changes after his or her departure from the Lab.
The Basic Check-Up is the perfect panel for evaluating your overall health. The panel consists of 8 tests that are typically ordered by a physician during an annual physical examination.
